Branch #1 – Prince George
BURSARY – Application deadline May 15
Branch #1 offers a bursary to a young person graduating Grade 12 and going on to post-secondary studies. The bursary is awarded annually based on contributions to the Prince George club by the applicant and their immediate family. Eligibility:
- The applicant must be an active and current member of the Branch #1 for at least the past year
- The applicant and/or a member of the applicant’s immediate family must have contributed a minimum 10 hours of volunteer time to branch activities and events over the past calendar year.
- The applicant must provide proof of enrollment in a full-time post-secondary program.
- Can be eligible for up to 4 years provided criteria is met each year.
- Up to $500 annually; amount to be determined by the board

Branch #12 – Kamloops
Workshop/Jamboree/Program Group Bursary
The Kamloops Branch #12 Workshop/Jamboree/Program Group Bursary is to help to ensure that financial barriers do not prevent groups from holding Workshop/Jamboree/Programs being held in British Columbia.
This bursary supports Groups of all ages and skill levels, providing fiddle traditional events in your British Columbia Community.
Though focused on fiddle traditions, this bursary also supports the old-time genre Fidders and accompanists active in British Columbia’s music community.
The Kamloops Fiddlers Branch #12 Board reviews applications confidentially four times a year.

Workshop/Jamboree/Program Individual Bursary
The Kamloops Branch #12 Workshop/Jamboree/Program Individual Bursary is to help to ensure that financial barriers do not prevent Individual from attending Workshop/Jamboree/Programs being held in British Columbia.
This bursary supports musicians of all ages and skill levels participating in programs which are held in British Columbia.
Though focused on fiddle traditions, this bursary also supports the old-time genre Fiddling and accompanists active in British Columbia’s music community.
Bursaries may cover full or partial program fees and/or instrument rental costs.
The Kamloops Fiddlers Branch #12 Board reviews applications confidentially four times a year, based on financial need.

Branch #12 – Kamloops
Clark Hiles Bursary
$250.00 to be given to any two Contestants, 17 years and under, that participate at
B.C. Fiddlers’ Association Kamloops Fiddlers Branch #12 Provincial Fiddle Contest
On Sept 19, 2026
The applicants are to apply by the Sept 9, 2026 Deadline.
Recipients are to be chosen based on the needs and achievements of the Participants for financial assistance in funding for Lessons, Instruments, Fiddle Camps, Fiddle Contest, or travel to a Fiddle Contest or Fiddle Event.
Funds will be handed to the Recipients at the Kamloops Branch #12 Fiddle Contest during the awards ceremony on September 19, 2026
