Anita Mamela
Anita grew up in Prince George BC and has been playing the fiddle since she was 7. Anita taught at the first BC Fiddle ‘Treat when it was held in Wells BC and has played at the Grand Masters Competition twice. Since then she has had her own students compete. She continued to teach with the camp when it moved to Gavin Lake. She travelled to many contests around BC and joined in many jams at the Sintach Hall.  She has a Bachelors of Music from UVic and a M Ed in Curriculum Development. Anita has taught music – Band, Jazz Band, Choir, Musical Theatre and Strings -from Grade 7 to high school level for 8 years in Mackenzie and for 25 years in Quesnel.  To change it up, she has been teaching Drama and Planning at Correlieu Secondary School in Quesnel.  She has had numerous groups at MusicFest Canada (the Nationals) and was awarded the CARAS Grant for her school twice.
